I have always been fascinated by insects with their amazing lifestyles and survival strategies, together with what in some cases are really bizarre shapes and beautiful colours.
At an early age I started to draw and model spiders and insects.
After obtaining my "Abitur" grammar school leaving certificate and training as a costume designer, I worked for 15 years in film and television.
In addition, I extended both my entomological knowledge and my designing skills for insect modelling.
In the meantime, I produce professional arthropod and insect models on a full time basis for exhibitions and natural science museums at home and abroad.
